How to Sync Calendar with Google

Coordinating dates can be a hassle, and even more so if you have multiple calendars to juggle. This article explains how to have Fortix calendar events show up in Google Calendar on your computer.

1. Add or Edit Google Account Details in Fortix

Ensure that the User has entered their Google account details in the Fortix system. Refer the article : Create Google Logon Details and heading Add or Edit Google Account Details in Fortix on how this is done.

2. Activate the Google Sign-On

Login into Google account. Open a new tab or page and navigate to the Fortix instance Login In Page. Click on the G sign Sign in.

This will open a page Sign in Google accounts - Google Chrome with Choose an account Options. Click on the account you have added before in Fortix.

3. CRON job must be enabled

CRON job is a process that will syncronise the calendars at the specified time ( Month ,Weekday, hour, Minute). This is set in the CRON Jobs Management page. Click the CRON Jobs Management tab in the AUTOMATION section of the Setup Menu.

The address bar link is: /?cron_job_management

The CRON Jobs Management page opens with a list of CRON JOBS TEMPLATES. Find the Calendar.php CRON JOB NAME.

The STATUS should be scheduled. To schedule the CRON job calendar.php, click the down- arrow in the Action tab of the row of the calendar.php.

Click Schedule.

To schedule, click the active radio button.

Click the down arrow in the Minute (and Hour, Day, Month, Weekday ) field to select the time the CRON job should process the calnedars.

Click SAVE to commit the schedule to the system.

Message for successful schedule.

To execute the calendar.php CRON job immidiately, click the down arrow in the Action tab and click Execute.
